Head Coach: Myron Frieson
Myron Frieson enters his fourth season as head coach of the Wilson softball program in 2020-2021. The Tigers have gone 16-23 with annual playoff appearances over his three seasons.
Frieson has helped the Tigers improve off the field as well with each student-athlete in the program graduating with honors and pursuing higher education or entering the military. He further illustrates his dedication to the development of student-athletes by participating in professional development workshops, educational training sessions and community engagement. He works to instill in his players his motto, “You don’t wake up in the morning to be mediocre. Always strive to be greater than you were the previous day.”
Prior to becoming head coach of the softball program, Frieson served as an assistant coach for Wilson softball. He has been with the school and athletic department since 2013.
Frieson is a 1994 graduate of Johnson C. Smith University where he obtained a degree in Business Administration. He earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University.
